Overview

This section documents the metrics that Simple Observability can collect from your servers.

Metrics are numerical time-series sampled at regular intervals. They are used to monitor resource usage, capacity trends, and abnormal behavior over time.

Metric sources

Apache

Server status, request rates, and worker utilization for Apache HTTP Server.

CPU

Monitor per-core and aggregated CPU usage ratio

Disk

Disk space usage and I/O activity per device.

Memcached

Cache performance, hit ratios, and memory utilization for Memcached.

Memory

Memory usage, cache, buffers, and swap activity.

Network

Network throughput, packets, and errors per interface.

NGINX

Request rates and connections statistics for NGINX servers.

PHP-FPM

Queue backlog, worker pool saturation, and request throughput for PHP-FPM.
